Charlotte Swim Academy was started by Martha Sue Crowley three decades ago. Martha Sue Crowley graduated in early child education and found a love for teaching children. Her personality also included a love for the ocean. Charlotte Swim Academy is a perfect marriage of these features. The academy was started in 1991 and has since nurtured over 50,000 swimmers. Those who passed through that program have gone on to become college swimmers. Martha Sue Crowley considers the best rewards of coaching to be seeing children transform their faces from fear to joy in the water. It is also exciting to see the natural growth of their confidence and the impact of their lives. Charlotte Swim Academy is a family-owned and operated business that has seen a lot of families in Charlotte. We are excited about the prospect of adding a new iteration of this fun to our pool.
