My daughter passed January 6th I contacted Grier's and trusted them to provide a great service for her.
My family have used them many times and the service have been very good with a courteous and professional staff. But the service they provided was the worst I have EVER see in my life.
I went there met with the Director made the arrangements. I had a policy for her but I didn't know it would be under review because of the time I had the policy. My daughter's body was there and no services were rendered. I was not contacted by the funeral director that there was a problem with the policy. The only reason I knew was because the cemetery contacted me to let me know. I call them to ask them about it 3 days before her service. I was told they would check and let me know. At that time I was told it was under review.
Her body was just there they hadn't done a thing to prepare her. On Thursday my family members (that are Master cosmetologist) went to do her hair and make-up. She still had blood on her body. That was several days later after they received her body. (They have pictures and a video of her) I went back met with them was told an amount (at that point I had to cremate her body. I paid the amount. When I saw her she was so dark, ashy and dry. They never reached out to tell me that I could come view her body before the service. I had to call every time to find out what was going on. They did call to tell me they misplaced her cloths . When I went into the service I didn't recognize. My baby!!!! Her nails were still dirty. My family, her friends and I was just torn up. I called to file a complaint was given the run around for several weeks. When I told them I was writing this review and call the BBB I was put through to the CEO. He refunded 495 for the casket rental.
The manner in which she passed and the total disrespect of her body has been so difficult for me to get through my days. All it takes is communication with the family! I didn't have time to pay for a proper burial for my baby.
