Jesse Brown’s Backpacking & Mountaineering in Charlotte, NC & Jacksonville FL (including the store in the Carolinas) established a three-state retail chain. A corporate aircraft is used to deal with the distance. Jesse Brown ingeniously suggested his modest mountaineering shop would become Charlotte’s most trusted and original outdoor outfitter, hence Jesse Brown Outdoors.
