Martin, Jones, and Piemonte I want to begin with a summary of this firm and then I want to explain my experience in detail: To sum up Martin, Jones, & Piemonte; they took a chance on me when nobody else would. Their attorneys are so experienced, and I felt so at ease talking with them. They cared and took the time to explain how disability cases work and what the Social Security Administration is looking for. Most of the employees I worked with, especially Deondra, Jonathan and Charmaine, contacted me after work hours. I thank the Good Lord for leading this firm and these attorneys and paralegals in my life. I filed for Social Security disability in October 2020. After being denied during the first preliminary phases, I retained an attorney’s office to take my case. The Administrative Law Judge found my case unfavorable. There were many reasons, however the one that stuck out the most was the fact that I taught Sunday school as well as Children’s Church during the week. This amounted to about three hours of my week, without having a migraine. The initial attorney wanted to use this to show how I frequently had to have someone to cover my classes due to my chronic migraines. Because the first hearing went so long, a continuation hearing was scheduled seven months later. As she did before, the attorney assigned to my case contacted me and helped me with any questions I had. Unfortunately, the judge found the appeal hearing unfavorable. There was another year that went by before the third hearing, which had a different judge. I had been in touch with the same attorney, however, two weeks before the hearing, I was told that my case was assigned to another attorney. Aside from chronic migraines, I have a long list of anxiety issues. The change in attorneys caused stress and panic attacks. However, when I spoke with Jonathan Heeps, my fears were relieved. Jonathan knew my case inside and out. He spoke with me on the phone for over an hour, answering any questions I had. He was so knowledgeable on the workings of Social Security Disabilities cases and hearings. I can’t begin to describe the relief I felt. Though we were prepared and ready to go, the hearing was very short and I only answered about four questions. Jonathan reached out immediately following the hearing.
