Open Door Studios

Open Door Studios will emphasize conditioning, Acrobatics, and Progressing Ballet Technique in their dancers' training. The curriculum will help dancers refine their technique and artistry in jazz, contemporary, ballet, and pointe styles. Dancers will also develop flexibility with stretches specifically for the dancers' body. Daniel Fetecua's workshop combines traditional Colombian dance and modern dance approaches. The project will serve to create a sense of community by fusing traditional Latin Dance and American Modern Dance. The program will locate traditional Latin Dances within their historico-cultural framework and examine their interaction with contemporary concert dance. Movement experts and dancers will provide a selection of movement techniques, including social dances, collaborative and improvisational work, and more.

Parents are immensely grateful to Open Door Studios for their inclusive, supportive teaching and comfortable environment. Their kids are happy and encouraged. Some kids need special needs, but the studio has no problem supporting them. The fact that Step Together has allowed these kids to explore dance is very touching. The students must remain positive as friends and family support them. The professionalism of the studio and the teamwork of the instructors and staff are noteworthy. New students enjoy the welcoming environment. The fun classes are interesting for beginners of all ages. The small studio has everything available, and the community is close-knit.
