Pet Palace - Charlotte

The store manager/ lead manager Melissa is so rude and disrespectful!!!! My cat was boarded there and ended up with an injury that took them all day to report to me. Noone has to date given me an explanation as to how he was injured. No accountability only excuse after excuse. I was then told my cat was to blame for his own injury. Apparently rubbing against his soft bedding was the cause of his injury. Although my vet highly disagrees with that reasoning. Mind you this nitwit has no veterinary or medical background just her uneducated opinion. Nobody is accountable here. All of them are excellent at passing the buck and blaming poor animals for their injuries. All they give are one excuse after another excuse. I would not ever recommend this place. While waiting to check out the front desk staff were talking about a pet parent that just dropped off their German Shepherd and how horrible their dog was right in front of other clients. So unprofessional. The so called store manager Melissa started getting such an attitude with me I couldn't believe it. I told her she needed to tone her nastiness down and be more respectful. If it weren't for us pet parents she wouldn't have a job. At my job if I were to ever speak to or treat a client the way I was treated and my manager heard it. The least I would get was to be written up the worst fired. I walked out to calm down and came back in and another lead manager Cass took over. All I heard from her is everyone is stressed out, that they are so understaffed, they have over 200 dogs plus cats in house and to not take what happened to me personally. Again more excuses and no accountability for that employee's despicable behavior. Don't trust these people with your fur babies you might not be so lucky to have them come out unscathed. I tried to contact the District Manager Cassie who was supposed to be at this location today but I was ignored both by phone and text. When I asked the staff to call her they told me she was unavailable to them to. I don't believe that at all. District Managers are always available if needed. Once again shows lack of concern for the pet and pet parent and all about the almighty dollar. This facility will never have any business from me again and I will make sure my family and friends in the Charlotte area go elsewhere for their boarding needs. Never have I ever seen a business run so poorly.
