Warning! Do not get cosmetic services at PPSD in Gastonia. Specifically Botox injections by Andrea Starr, PA. I followed up today about botox injections (day 18) as asked to do so by clinical supervisor(Sally) since I was having severe pressure/headaches, blurred vision due to droopy eye lids (ptosis) which started day 3 after injection. Dr. Vajourney was also present showing me before pictures. I am age 50 and aware...When I mentioned I was sitting in front of her-could she not tell the botox injection had exasperated the issue?! She DID say I don't know I have not seen you before while holding the before pic in her hand! What?! Andrea Starr said I did tell you about ptosis and risk involved which she did not. BUT ptosis is caused by the INJECTOR; also she added what the FDA approved as she used 56 units on my forehead/crows feet alone (y'all that's a lot for a first timer-people think Im 40). It's not about the FDA but the skill set and judgement of the injector. Don't make the same mistake I did-OBSERVE the clientele. Patients are not here for botox at this Gastonia location. Just because you're in a dermatology office, do not assume a PA or DR is qualified. All LIED to CYA. Let me add because the DR and PA agreed with each other these side effects/appearance = normal-the office supervisor declined my request for a refund. You should not have severe droopy eyelids that impedes your vision and severe forehead pressure at any time. My husband asked if I talked about the ridges on each side of my forehead. I said they didn't want to admit any wrong doings with my eye lids why would I proceed? It peeves me when people don't own their mistakes. An apology goes a long way for me.
