She seemed to be well versed in the law, she was professional, but yet very friendly. She was able to answer each of our questions very satisfactorily but I would have guessed that would have been the case with all her years experience. Tonya Barber was on paid retainer for a very serious custody case and not only was she passive, she was mostly unavailable. She also barely gave me any useful advice, information, didn't prep me for the stand, didn't cross examine, didn't do any research on my abusive ex, didn't accept any of my research, etc... she literally said 'lets see what happens'. She also scribbled on a notepad when I did get a chance to meet with her. She was the only one available right after covid. I tried to trust the process as this was the first time ive ever needed a lawyer and this was incredibly important. Look elsewhere if you need actual help. Her secretaries/assistants were excellent and far more helpful strangely.
