The LVL that supports floor josses, columns, and roof was completely rotted out (wrong materials used). This structure would not withstand another winter. I had several contractors look at the job, but no one wanted to touch it for fear of collapse. I then contacted ALPHA REMODELING & CONSTRUCTION from Londonderry NH. I met with Roy Guilerme, and he explained what had to be done to replace the rotten LVL. Alpha Remodeling accepted the job; I am so pleased they did. Roy cut no corners; he was very meticulous in the repair. Supporting the roof, floor josses replacing the 4 by 4 supports with 6 by 6 PT, ripping out 70 feet of rotten LVL replacing it with 2 by 10 PT, leveling the porch, and finished all trim. Roy and Laura went out of their way to install railings that maximized safety and the appearance. They are beautiful, and the installation was meticulous.
