His firm's headquarters moved to Las Vegas in 1991. He designed District in 2002, Nevada's first Mixed-Use Lifestyle Center. He launched Lennar's Next-Gen brand in 2013. The sector and the nation have embraced it. "We respect tradition but design for today's lives," says Howard. He earned a bachelor of architecture from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in 1973. He also studied architecture at the French Institutes Ecole des Bueaux-Arts, Versailles, and the Ecole Nacional des Arts Decoratif, Nice. Because "The world's beautiful and rich in great ideas," he always continues to travel prolifically.
