Big Orbit Project Space of CEPA Gallery

Big Orbit Project Space (est. 1991) is an artist-run center that fosters transcultural, multidisciplinary inquiries into current art predicaments, especially in Western New York. CEPA Gallery and Big Orbit Gallery were merged in late 2013 in a strategic move that preserved the history and purpose of Big Orbit Gallery and ensured the sustainability of CEPA Gallery. Artists with local connections used site-specific performances and installations at Big Orbit Project Space. Amid the ongoing global pandemic, Big Orbit Project Space was relocated in Fall 2020 to CEPA Gallery's location in the Market Arcade, at 617 Main Street, due to COVID-19's impact on the decision to concentrate sites. CEPA Gallery has been able to manage the COVID-19 Pandemic by launching adaptive preparedness measures and expense control. However, the global pandemic continues to raise numerous uncertainties.
