Community Music School

CMS has gifted Western New York communities with music for more than 90 years since its establishment in 1924. We offer programs for households at varying income levels, and our professional faculty and volunteers are convinced that musical engagement is beneficial to anyone who wishes to partake. We serve over 500 students annually in Western New York, offering classes at six venues, guaranteeing that students will always have the ideal music nearby. Our faculty comprises talented experienced musicians with diverse backgrounds. CMS strives to guarantee that each student is matched with the ideal teacher for him or her, as established by his or her musical preferences, learning style, and personality. CMS provides services to all students irrespective of race, color, gender, ethnicity, religion, ability, or sexual orientation. It is CMS's policy not to discriminate based on any of these grounds in its scholarship and policy programs.

In general, Community Music School is perceived as a welcoming atmosphere with supportive teachers. People frequently applaud the friendly and talented staff who cooperate well with the lessons. COVID-19 protocols at CMS are stated as being consistent and effective. However, opinion among clients is divided into two camps. Those had a positive experience, praising the school's encouraging atmosphere and supportive instructors. Those who feel that CMS does not fulfil their expectations express disappointment with their lack of experience. This side of the coin is dissatisfaction from a client who has interacted with the school for three weeks. The client explained not getting a call, pamphlet, or a receipt for her daughter's registration. She wrote an email in the second week, but CMS explained an emergency and that they would reach her soon. Again, the client was dissatisfied with the explanation. Communication with the school was challenging and seemed to flow back and forth with no progress until the issue was addressed. In conclusion, CMS fare well in reviews for its music classes and supportive community. Still, issues with communication and student concerns have been cited by a few clients.
