Delivery Issues
Ordered a washer/dryer set, day of delivery 1st truck brought the dryer with vent hose, WASHER connector and 3 prong dryer cord that was supposed to be a 4 PRONG, dryer could not be installed! Then I called the Ithaca NY store about the dryer cord and was told I had to call a number- wrong this was your mistake! Then I find out a 2nd truck is bringing the washer, their dispatcher called the truck and they luckily had a 4 prong with them. The washer and dryer were installed by the guys from the second truck. Should’ve been told 2 trucks, dryer parts should’ve been with the dryer NOT the washer. Today 2 DAYS later a person from the Ithaca store thinks it’s ok to call me- 2 DAYS after the fact- bad business! Only good thing was the delivery guys! And please don’t send me to some phone number like in other reviews . But again delivery people were great, this review is not on them!
ordering process was easy however, delivery at home was a nightmare.mgr. from the store was so rude and told me that I was wrong because I wanted them to make sure that water heater will be working properly after they installed it and after they returned and the water heater was more broken than it was before they left my house. Nothing but problems; the men who delivered the water heater were pleasant and kept me informed and were careful not to touch anything other than the water heater. If I ever buy another appliance, it will not be from Lowe's (Ithaca, NY) and I will let others know that they have terrible customer service. Delivery misrepresented, items back-ordered. Delivery was late, product not able to be used and a mess to address. Called multiple times and got a snippy response over the phone, also emailed and have received nothing back. I have spent over $3000 on my order and am very unhappy. Delivery crew was exceptional. I could not be more upset. I am a Frontline Worker who has been working through this pandemic. You should NEVER EVER send a survey until you know the customer has received their order. Delivery went great, products were damaged, install went good even with the fact that the stove is damaged. Still waiting on the other half of order! Needed to purchase two string trimmer heads. None of the five employees near me in the outdoor department could bother to ask if I needed help after approximately 15 minutes of observing me look at their selection. I found the items I needed on my own. Thank you for making me feel like a valued customer. Delivery was a circus. Received numerous emails advising of the scheduled delivery date with a range of times and phone contact on the date of delivery. Received numerous emails advising of out-for-delivery. The delivery truck and personnel were very professional and courteous. Delivery was not a problem but the condition of the merchandise was a terrible experience and took another week to replace. The replacement was received in poor condition, at the time of this review, I now await the return of an item. With the purchase of new appliances from Lowes, the experience has not been that terrific so far. I will revisit in the near future. I have spent over $1500 on the order. Order was not received by Lowes front line associates making it difficult for the customer to take possession of the order. Needed to call customer service to advise of this fact. Delivery team was great but I was 2 hours late for work which caused me to lose normally everything I buy there I have no issue. I am a Frontline worker and have very little time to be running around to pick my merchandise upflater than expected. Lowes states they are a customer-first company but they obviously do not put customers first if there can't be a person in the store to accept deliveries. Also, at the store, no one is willing to help customers find products. Some products I wanted to purchase were not in stock on the shelves but when I did find an employee they told me I had to order online and would not look in the back. So when I did order the items it took over a month for the product to finally arrive, and one item was damaged. Today's experience was not a good representation of what a loyal customer expects from your employees. Delivery was a mess. When the dryer was delivered the door was installed incorrectly and I still can't open it, it sounds like the dryer is broken.
