Ben Moses Jewelry Design has been in existence since the 1950s. After WWII, Ben Moses of Romania moved to New York City with just a few pieces of jewelry but a very high ambition. Besides opening a jewelry shop, he was also practicing as an Optometrist in Braila, Romania, where he had a good reputation. Since there were no glasses he could prescribe to his clients, he started crafting his glasses. He developed a passion for fashion as he designed his glasses. His love for fine jewelry began here. He was well-known in his small town for his designs and creativity. When he had enough savings, Ben moved to NYC to try for better opportunities. In the 1950s, Ben started handcrafting jewelry and selling it to stores. Ray, Ben's only son, is a noted artist who paints, sculpts, and draws realistic scenes. Ray joined Ben in the Diamond District, and they made a powerful family duo. Ray was a former painter and also had a degree in Computer Engineering, which he combined with the jewelry business. He made it possible for Custom work to be done successfully and right on time. The Moses family enters its three generations (as shown in the banner photos) to help create an E-Commerce section. This shop brings generations of experience in antiques and diamond grading. There is also a personal touch Ben put into the business, and we promise you will receive it at each step.
