About Gannon Funeral Home Gannon Funeral Home is family-owned and independent. Charles and Mary Gannon founded the funeral home in 1924. They raised eight children on Manhattan's Eastside and expanded their family throughout NYC. Gannon, the third generation, has a BS in Psychology from Brooklyn College. & AAMI, in 1978, serves as the President. Charles and Mary Gannon have been committed to their heritage over the centuries, guiding thousands of families in NYC through the hardest moments of their lives.
