Reliable RUCHI New York is owned by Ruchi Kotahwala, a professional jeweler and designer from New York. Her jewelry and gemstone obsession began as a young girl living in Mumbai, India. The Mumbai streets would transform into a sea of vibrant and colorful jewels during weddings and festivals. Ruchi has always been fascinated by the prospect of "invisible" powers flowing through jewels, which she refers to as the "positive energy" she sees and feels when she looks into a good jewel's heart. Ruchi is a dreamer and an entrepreneur. She made her first finish-at-home piece at the age of 16. Ruchi graduated from the Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad, with a design diploma. In conjunction with her husband, a color gemstone dealer from Jaipur, they turned passion into a career. Ruchi was able to produce a strong design foundation and access to the world's most exotic stones through her family's gem business, enabling Ruchi New York to build its unique collection.
