Village Dental NYC

Warning for anyone considering this practice for service! My daughter who is a NYU student went there recently. They are extremely deceptive with their financial practices and disarm patients with an abundance of friendliness. They did not disclose they were out of network with almost every plan until services were complete. A routine cleaning and x-ray, which cost around $200 (and is covered 100% by dental insurance) at most practices, was an $805 charge at Village. This used up our entire insurance coverage for the year. They then try to convince you to agree to overpriced repairs (by a factor of 3x) by slightly discounting the $805 they charged for cleaning. It's a very sleazy practice and I encourage anyone considering service there to ask up front and clearly understand the financial arrangements, or to seek another provider. Most dental practices will let you know if they do not take your insurance and what you can expect cost-wise. My daughter was clearly taken advantage of.
