Planet Fitness Customer Feedback Overview: 1. SHOCKED.... i’m an imigrant in this great country of plainview USA!!!! and i am treated so poorly. i was trying to use the black card spa, which i paid for, and near the end of the shift this employee CUMAIL was sheltering away from me, once i ask him to put me on hydrolounge, he then on purpose pranks me by not doing what i ask, i then wait 5 minutes thinking it would start, and i confront him becuase racism wont be tolerated, and he acts extremly clueless and says it was my problem. he argues with me and i can tell hes treating me differently becuase of my race (asain). may i remind you again CUMAIL, i am a black card member holder, i am not a poor bum on the street, I HAVE A BLACK CARD! and that means i get to use the hydrolounge, so think smarter next time... i told you what would happen, the customer is always right.......2. For the Planet Fitness on Manetto Hill Rd., Plainview, NY: They’ve been open over a year now and they still haven’t figured out how to get hot water to the showers. This has been happening since they opened. I’ve talked to them about it many times and it’s always ignorance and lame excuses. Yesterday was the worst yet. After 30 seconds, the hot water turned ice cold. I dried off and dressed and walked to the front desk. There I had to deal with “Jhonny,” who was staring at his cellphone, ignoring my attempt to speak with him. Then he turned and walked away, not once acknowledging my existence. WHAT. THE. HELL? 4. My husband has black membership, so I usually join him. This is very clean facility, a lot of machines, very friendly environment. 5. I love this place 6. What was most frustrating, though, was being spoken to in a condescending manner by an employee named Cole. When I reached out to the manager, Christina, my concerns were largely brushed off and not taken seriously. That level of disregard for member experience says a lot about how poorly this location is being run. 7. The only reason I’ve continued my membership is due to convenience, but the consistent lack of professionalism and maintenance has made it increasingly difficult to justify staying. I hope upper management takes a closer look at how this club is being managed, because members deserve far better than this. 8. I got a black card & came here to see if I liked it since my home gym (Hicksville) is too crowded. First time I got lucky & it was very pleasant here. Each visit since has been consistently the same. Staff either ignores your presence or is rude. Machines are frequently broken. Half consumed energy drinks left on machines or used paper towels left on machines or the floor. Machines are randomly sticky and you may or may not be lucky to get hand sanitizer since they are not consistently refilled. This gym felt like a Trojan horse since it was immaculate the first time I visited, but the reality has shown through after a few visits. I will be going to Syosset instead 9. You can't beat the price and this one is pretty empty they could use some free weights for doing deadlifts but at the price what do you expect do like the massage chairs also 10. I really liked this gym in the beginning. The constant news on every channel is awful and doesn’t feel good. I go to the gym to relax & let go- only to find every tv station is news. Whether you’re on the elliptical, treadmill or stairmaster, you can’t avoid it. I’ve spoken with staff & they say there’s nothing they can do, since tvs are controlled by the central office. I recommend skipping this location- there are plenty of other gyms that support their members goals. This one isn’t it for me. 11. This gym facility has been left completely unattended while open on many occasions. Machines frequently broken, also. I'm told they're currently between managers. I just started working out, but the staff are not helpful at all. I asked for help many times, but they said they were busy and were busy with the phone. Those who are new to the gym should definitely not go here. Other branches have been helpful, but this one is terrible. (I want to take a shower because I sweat a lot, but there is never hot water.) 15. The gym is dusty everywhere and the same urine stains on the toilet for three days in a row, clearly they don’t clean the place. The staff (mainly the guys) are rude and unprofessional when they are not hiding in a locked closet or sleeping in one of massages beds.
