American Fire Restoration, LLC 1. Darren Hanson from American Fire Restoration was my first point of contact after a fire on our floor. He detailed what needed to be done in my apartment, how it would be done, and not to worry. They would take care of everything. True to his word, they did. Leslie, Maggie, and a kind young man left when the job was done. Team Leader, Mario, explained where they would begin, how they would proceed, and asked me to let them know if there was anything I needed. They moved through my tiny studio carefully yet capably, treating my aged and fragile possessions like priceless antiques. They were thorough, professional, personable, kind, and respectful of this antique! Mario is a treasure who takes this work seriously, is generous and personable, and an able leader. He and his team dovetailed beautifully together like perfect choreography. Finally, Frances caught my attention. I would venture to say Frances is the boss who marshals the troops and keeps all things administratively operating seamlessly! Every organization should have a Frances! Bravo American Fire Restoration…and thank you! 2. Justin a mold remediation on our gym and dance studio/bath house was our main point of contact. He communicated well and did everything professional. We would use them again. 4. My building manager brought in American Fire Restoration LLC after my apartment was destroyed in a fire. Thanks to Criss, who was in charge of my restoration. He was more concerned about my welfare. And that's as important, or more important than just a cleanup.5. Our upstairs neighbor's careless disposal of her roach-encrusted toaster oven started a small fire that did considerable water damage in our kitchen and 2 other rooms. The whole process is very stressful obviously, but Chris literally was there the day it happened, and walked us through the whole process. He was so responsive to any questions or concerns that we may have had. We were initially considering going through our original contractor for the repairs, but after seeing the work Chris did on the mitigation, I had the conversation with my wife and she said "So this guy sends us pictures daily on the progress, responds immediately to any questions we have, and is upfront about each step of the way... we would be crazy not to go with them for the renovations.." We were so happy with their mitigation work, we continued to use them for the repairs. We were not in a rush, and some change orders slowed things down, but the quality of work was consistently high. The only downside was having to be home from time to time to let them in, but nothing of value ever went missing, and we are extremely pleased with our new kitchen.7. Adam Gass and the entire team went above and beyond. They were onsite immediately on the day of our fire, installing ventilation equipment and other things to keep the damage contained as much as possible within our apartment. Once the insurance investigation was compete, Adam and his team wasted no time cleaning out the damage, stripping the damaged walls, ceilings and floors, and fully mitigating potential fire smell in all of our base structures. I cannot recommend them more highly.9. We had a fire situation on our terrace with severe water damage throughout our condo this past Fall. Our management company initially brought AFR to assess their portion of the damage. I was completely overwhelmed by the situation but appreciated that they were first on the scene and a huge help throughout the entire process (including guidance on what we needed to provide our insurance company). Justin was a friendly and professional contact who kept us informed throughout the process. We hired AFR for the initial post-fire deep cleaning, gut renovation of the affected room, a complete refinish of our floors, and full repainting of the unit. The entire team was very polite, professional and communicative. Once their work was complete it was like nothing had ever happened! I had a few questions a month or two after they completed their portion of the work and Justin responded promptly as if I was still an active client. We truly appreciate it! Thank you!10. The included photos show the swiffer pads we used AFTER they "cleaned". We had the apartment tested for lead after they left and 12 out of 17 samples were significantly higher than Federal EPA standards allow (aka failed). Photo of test results attached. Before they say "we searched our database and he isn't a client", my building manager hired them. As proof, I'm including the waiver they tried to get us to sign. ***Update: Their response is fiction. No idea what he is talking about. The test following their work came no where close to meeting EPA standards. He is correct that we didn't accept their offer to redo the work. The original work was deemed so subpar that we did not accept their offer to do bad work a second time. The pictures and test results I provided speak for themselves.
