I needed my Andersen French doors replaced (30 years old and the outside was peeling away). I ordered new doors from Andersen directly. Once they arrived, I second-guessed myself about doing the work. I saw on Andersen's website that Good Guys Contracting was an authorized contractor, but also a premier contractor. I called them. I've never hired a contractor as professional as Good Guys. They immediately started a Whatsapp chat with everyone that was to be involved. I've always had a problem with those doors as they didn't seem to align. Alfonso and his crew arrived on time, and installed the doors correctly. The project took longer than estimated because the frame was not level, and they made sure it was before hanging the new doors. They now open and close perfectly. They also took the old doors with them, saving me the trouble of carrying them to the curb. I really appreciated that. I will absolutely be calling them for any other projects I need done, and having them do this job, I can see what Andersen rates them as a Premier Contractor.4. I would highly recommend Good Guys Contracting. I needed my roof replaced and from initial quoting through final follow through their communication and transparency was impressive. They offered 2 options for my replacement roof that were both great options. There was no pressure picking between the Good and Better (pricier) option and they spent a great deal of time establishing both were warranteed and commanded the same amount of attention to detail when installing. When questions arose about installation, they addressed each one. We had an old satellite dish, antiquated sky lights and some problem spots we were concerned with and they took special attention to address these issues. When our time slot arrived we had a detailed walk-through the project, what to expect, reviewed costs, day of noise, measures they use to keep the property clean, potential added costs from plywood (if needed), warranty paperwork, who we would expect to see and how long the project would take. The project went off as described and took only 1 day. Throughout the process we were in communication via WhatsApp. They answered pop up questions, project updates, photos of the problem areas as they worked them and sent a synopsis video afterwards when they wrapped up the project. This I greatly appreciated, I felt I was in constant contact when it was most important and there was a conversation thread I could reference. Working with David, Theo, Brittany and Brogan was a pleasure. I would use their services in the future, should the need arise. I worked with David with other facets of the project, he provided me contacts for financing options and a painter, both of which I used and ended up very satisfied with.8. I chose James Hardie cement siding because I love the stream-lined , clean look, and because it protects from elements & pests, and has a warranty. I chose Good Guys Contracting (GGC) because they are a Preferred Elite Contractor for James Hardie, and I’m glad I did. I highly recommend them. Throughout the project, there was very good communication within the GGC team and very good communication between GGC ( Brittney, Theo, Carolina, David) and myself. Brittney (the sales & design team), Theo (the project manager), Carolina (the production manager), did a great job explaining the “how’s & why’s” of Hardie board, the construction timeline, and warned of unforeseen problems that could be additional costs. We did have an unforeseen problem that arose. They brought it back to the GCC team meeting and came up with a very good solution. Carlos and his crew did a great job through difficult weather. The siding was delivered 12/9/24 and the job was completed 1/18/25. Everyone was wonderful to work with!12. My husband and I recently undertook a substantial renovation project with them, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Our project was extensive, including the installation of Maibec shingles, and James Hardie siding, a new front door, 14 new windows, an outdoor shower, a new front porch, and a complete roof replacement. From start to finish, the team at Good Guys exceeded our expectations. Our project manager, Theo, and Brittney or designer, were exceptionally dependable and reliable. They communicated with us clearly and consistently throughout every step of the process, ensuring that we were informed and comfortable with the progress. The level of communication was superb, as Theo, Brittney, my husband, and I were all connected via WhatsApp, allowing us to stay updated and address any questions or concerns immediately. In addition, Brittney was an invaluable resource in helping with the decorating touches. Her keen eye for design and thoughtful suggestions truly enhanced the overall aesthetic of the project. She worked closely with us to make sure every detail—from color choices to finishes—perfectly complemented the vision we had for our home. The quality of work was outstanding.
