Terri Kern Studios

Terri Kern Studios - Terri Kern, a studio artist and independent artist, tells the story. Terri has been recognized for her artistic excellence since earning her master's degree in ceramics in 1991. She has worked internationally with artists in Munich, Germany, Nancy, France, Liuzhou, China, and Barbacoa, Cuba since 2000. She is a proud art ambassador, having spoken at conferences in Germany, France, and China. The "Innovation Award" from the Sister Cities International Conference, Belfast Ireland (with her collaborators in Munich, Cincinnati, and Liuzhou) for a collaborative international drawing. She has continued to educate and inspire art teachers and students in high schools and colleges with her workshops and lectures on studio practices and being an artist, even as a former full-time art teacher. She believes in community building through art and is currently a member of the Clay Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. She also established a fund that benefits ceramic programs at non-profit organizations in Cincinnati. In 2015, she was the project manager and designer of ArtWorks ArtRX. 14 students and three teaching artists created twenty mixed-media paintings for the Ronald McDonald House, Cincinnati.
