Dr. John S. Anthony, MD

Dr. John S. Anthony, MD is an American Board of Dermatology-certified dermatologist. AAAD has also recognized him. In 2009, he started working at Cleveland Clinic. He graduated from Notre Dame with distinction in 1991. He earned a bachelor of science and a bachelor of arts and literatures degree. A medical degree, followed four years later, was awarded to him by the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed an internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 1996 and was posted at United States Marine Corps Camp Pendleton, as a General Medical Officer. Anthony was deployed in the Middle East with the Marine Expeditionary Unit, where he served for two years. He finished training in 2001 at the Joint Army/Air Force Program in San Antonio, Texas, after he truned to the United States. He then served as the Dermatology staff and head at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He has received two medals; the Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Dr. Anthony worked in private practice for five years after leaving the military. He joined Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Anthony specializes in medical dermatology. He also has a special interest in inflammatory skin conditions and venereology.
