Peter Bolek, AIA, RIBA, LEED AP | President & Director Design at HBM Architects, is the heart of HBM’s collaborative model team. He actively joins the development of both strategic and detailed design solutions. His design philosophy believes that design can change lives and depend on the quality of everyday experiences. This means enhancing a project’s environmental response, delighting the occupants with daylight, views, and materiality. Peter became a partner at HBM in 2000. He established a strong partnership with the founding principal, David Holzheimer. He secured projects outside Ohio, allowing HBM to transform into a nationwide practice. The company initially focused on municipal and public libraries. Peter’s design approach has been multifaceted, from historical to modern styles. He tries to align each project with its community and function. Peter uses design charrettes to help clients, creating projects that reflect the surrounding area.
