For 90 years, Nini's Barbershop has been the go-to neighborhood barbershop for a great close shave. Nini's Barber Shop: 1599 N High St.; Near Ohio State Ben and Floyd Nini founded Nini's Barber Shop in 1929 at 1599 N High St, near The Ohio State University's campus. At the time, hairstyles only cost 40c and shaving was 25 cents. In 1937, the barbershop relocated to 1604 N High St, where it stayed until 1966. It then moved to 2088 Henderson Rd, where it has been based ever since. Ben and Floyd have always felt proud of their connection to Columbus. One of their first clients was Jimmy Crum. In 1967, Ben Nini helped victims of the famed Columbus Riots by providing cool towels and safe refuge to those hurt. This barbershop has been passed down over three generations and is a trace of Ben's origins.
