Reviews Summary
Customers express their satisfaction with Progressive Insurance, sharing that the company is caring, understanding, and provides excellent customer service. Numerous clients mention that the process, paperwork, and detailing were simple and swift after their accidents, and some have added that the accident was less stressful because of the customer service. Some of the most grateful clients also mention that they receive good value from Progressive and the company is interested in helping the clients. One problem raised by customers is the limited car rental benefits, although they recommend the company. The company clients have had accidents in different ways, as some may never have known how they work and they still find the process understandable and easy, yet they got the promised value for their running.
I spent over 6 hours on the phone with various Progressive agents because I couldn't purchase insurance for a second home, boat, or umbrella polices on line. My only option was to call and give up 6 hours of my life instead of an hour or less answering all of Progressives' questions on line. They also pulled the bait and switch on me, also. They only asked a small number of questions on line, gave me a quote, and then when I went to purchase, I was required to call the sales department. After they asked me additional questions, my "quote" went up
$600! Come on, Progressive! This is the 21st century!
Warning!!! Progressive will raise your rate if your vehicle has a recall. According to the "National Highway Traffic Safety Administration" this should not be the case. Sounds a little shady.
