Scioto Grove Park Archery Range is now open at Scioto Grove Metro Park, where you may bring out your inner archer and Robin Hood. There are two archery courses. Because of their unique qualities, you may refer to the first as a "traditional" or static course. The foam on the 3D course fully replicates the size of the animal. It closes after the arrow is retrieved. Novices will appreciate the critical look, but it is a good hunting practice for experienced bow hunters. The course is accessible by a new trail through the forest. You will encounter 12 targets positioned in the forest once the course is reached. The beginners' section has six targets, and the average section has a turkey and two deer. There is a 30-yard line, and the minimum is 12 yards. Field tips are required for both courses, and broadheads are prohibited. Any bow will be welcomed, guaranteeing a fun but safe archery experience. On Wednesday, a Columbus Police Officer called us on June 30, 2021 (which is our first day), and the target is Andrew Francis. Andrew has been a gun hunter for several years, but he has never caught a bow. He is a 40-year-old father who decided to try the archery course when he saw the flyer at Fisherman's Warehouse. Andrew arrived before the scheduled shift at 2 pm and took the time to experience the range, as this was his first time.
