ABOUT Services Excellence Summary

Our company started with our Great Grandfather in the early 1900s. He missed only one day of work throughout life except for the one time when he had pneumonia. Long after his death, his amazing service and work ethic inspired us to start a business in 1993, after high school. We have been friends since childhood, and we were inseparable. My brother and I were born 2 years apart, and I followed whatever he did. He is my favorite guy, and I still think so. We were taught by our grandfather, who raised us. Our dad died when we were young, and we spent many weeks with our grandparents who kept us in their machine shop. Our grandfather taught Mike how to make surgical instruments from 16, which he did his entire life. With our machine shop, we learned the importance of hard work. Our grandfather taught us how to make them, and I remember that we didn't want to. One thing he taught us was his smile, which was more like a face someone makes when attempting very hard. The teeth pull down on the bottom lip, and the nose constricts. He was famous for making high-quality surgical instruments, so much that Cal Ripken Jr. wrote an article about him. He continued working even when he reached 78 years old. He never fully retired, and he was very proud of his work. When he was 91 years old, he beat his grandson in chess three times. He always showed us that we could do what he did, and he was proud of our progress.
