I needed an attorney for a custody case.Jason helped with one hearing and one trial, with the latter being more demanding. Initially, I was told to pay $5,000 to cover all costs, which I did. After three hours of showing up in court with 5 minutes of 'work’, he asked for $5,000 to proceed with the trial. His excuse was that a trial was expected for those fees, and though he only planned to stay for 2 hours, he was in court for nearly 30 minutes. Then, we got to ask a few witnesses, one of whom was the city of Springfield’s attorney. After awkward questioning, no judge was visible, and when I looked again, Jason had left. In conversation with the clerk, he said no more court was left and that the judge was done, even though we were promised an all-day court hearing...
