Communication was poor, key staff assigned to me left mid-case without notice to me, and there were serious lapses in handling critical matters, including nearly sending the wrong response to opposing counsel. When I raised concerns, in a panic about that outgoing wrong offer and not knowing my main contact was gone, I was told I was being emotional. Ms. Pence then withdrew from the case abruptly, leaving me unrepresented just before discovery. I’ve since taken further steps through appropriate channels. Would not recommend. Ms. Pence drew up paperwork to file with the court based on affidavit that "the other party" failed to file. We had a consultation in which I paid a fee to receive the wrong information that she had verified prior to the consultation. She indicated that this was pretty cut and dry and that she had researched the properties. Based on the information I received in that consultation I proceeded with the case. After retaining her firm for services, paying the balance and going to court, the other party had in fact filed the paperwork or affidavit required to keep the property's. They had filed it three years prior! I received the incorrect information and filed a lawsuit based on inaccurate information. A waste of time and money. I have requested a refund. I need an attorney to sue the attorney, lol! A refund has been requested from Kathleen Pence. However, integrity may be a thing of the past. She responded but notice she didn't say call my office to discuss. Even in my mature age it still surprises me that people have no integrity. It's pretty cut and dry.
