ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

History of Carco Nationalease The history of Carco Capital Corporation dates back to 1930 when Carl M Corley was invited to join Crouch Equipment Co. in Fort Smith. The business primarily sold farm equipment, light International Trucks, and often traded mules with local farmers for these vehicles. As time passed, the company grew, and the farm equipment segment was sold, transforming it into a solely International/Navistar Heavy Truck and parts dealer. After the transfer of ownership from the Corley family to their children, the company's name was changed to Carco International, Inc. In 1956, Carl D Corley graduated from the University of Arkansas and began his career in the business by working as a credit collector for International Harvester in Kansas City. Upon returning to Fort Smith, he joined his father at Crouch Equipment Company. His son, Carl Corley, graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1956. He started as a collector in the credit department of International Harvester in Kansas City. He returned to Fort Smith to assist his father in managing the company. In March 1965, he took over the Hertz car rental operations at the Fort Smith Airport with only 20 vehicles. Both operations succeeded over the years. The Truck division, Carco Rentals, Inc., also known as Carco Nationalease, has 300 trucks and 200 trailers used to serve Lease and Rental Customers in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The Hertz Car division, Carco Carriage Corp., has an 1800 car rental fleet that crosses the entire State of Arkansas. Carl Corley, Jr. is still active in the dealership and rental and leasing business. Carl Corley Jr., like his father, graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1977. As a child, he began working in the Car division and washing vehicles and later worked with the Trucking division. Under his leadership, the Car division entered off-airport HLE, and he now serves as the President of Hertz. Manufacturers Transport LLC started in 2005 as a subsidiary of Carco Capital Corporation, mainly focusing on Contract Carriage for local Manufacturers.
