Jaime is an Eastern Washington native. She moved here to attend Eastern Washington University, where she obtained her B.A. in Public Communications. In college, she excelled and was one of the top 10 seniors in her class. Jaime graduated with honors. She also minored in Public Relations and Spanish. Afterward, she undertook law school at Willamette University. While there, Jaime was class president and a top student, which led to her start in the field of immigration law in 2011. Jaime has made presentations on immigration at various conferences. Some of the areas she has presented on include waivers for inadmissibility or criminal conviction immigration consequences. During the seminars, she also taught clients about how to prepare for removal hearings in numerous states. Jaime has a good practice record of representing clients in front of ICE, USCIS, and the NVC. She regularly cooperates with lawyers to understand the impact of criminal convictions on immigration. She has mainly worked with clients who qualify for VAWA relief, including U Visas and Self-Petitions. Jaime is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Oregon State Bar. She lives in Portland and loves hiking, traveling, and running.
