Rust Belt Business Law Review:
Phenomenal all around. Stress-free and above expectations from the get-go with Rust Belt. We will for sure continue dealing with Rust Belt Business Law. Best law firm in Erie! Highly suggest to anybody who is serious about obtaining good legal advice for their business. Got charged $2100 and got scammed. Sounds funny but I admired the name, very meaningful words from the founder so decided to give it a go. Wanted to purchase a dental office utilizing their services. They did not even know if I can do that as a foreigner after a charge of $2100 for no good reason. They repeated the same question. They didn't know PA would allow a non-dentist to own a practice. However, we heard a different story from our counsel (She was also an attorney but not in this sector) and did our homework. Save your money and keep away from them. I am now disputing the fee with them. They did not make a phone call as they promised. I still have to deal with the dispute. Whatever they promised can't be done. What a rust and belt. I heard there founder's service were great. But as far as I know, it just sucks. I will have to maybe visit their office for this dispute or maybe file a claim to the BAR. Pay someone $2100 for nothing is just ridiculous. A guy did not do their work should not get paid, even though it is not a lot of money, it is just not RIGHT. We only pay when it is reasonable and logical, not some robbery.
This was around 2024, do not work with them.
I will update my review if we did correct their error.
Updated, refund me $1450 and talked to Mr. William. Well, he seems much more care than his employee. As a 20s years old young guy who owns a small business and a dental office soon. I know his frustration upon his employee. Though Mr. William is decent but we have to be fair, we got charged and none of our business had done. So, I cannot just say it is now a positive review.
Just some suggestions,
Ensure that they let you know the assigned lawyer's field and only hire professional in your category.
Ensure your lawyer's hourly rate and how they charge hourly.
Do your homework not rely on your lawyer only, even if you paid them, your effort will count.
Find an attoney who can meet locally instead of some folks working remotely in CA or FL.
Good luck, everybody. Thank you again Mr. William, but here is my edit afterwards. Good day.
4. Updated 09/27/2023: I had previously left a review expressing discontent with the service I received from Rust Belt Business Law. The owner Adam, took the responsibility to call me to discuss the experience, good, bad, what could have been done differently, why and what. The review was out of my perspective and I was glad he decided to personally call me. I was given some addition perspective that would make me see it from another lens. He also added some closure after a month of my contract has expired had my commitment made with them almost a month ago. I would rate the conversation with him an 8, I liked how...
Original: Communication was very seldom and relied on me reaching via email or call multiple times before hearing back on EVERY instance. I have documented 4 emails from the lawyer who was assigned to me over a course of 3 months; with 1 initial 10 minute zoom call with him at the start of my contract agreement. I paid for the business essentials package (smallest one), and got virtually nothing that is listed in the contract agreement. I spent $2250.00 over the course of 3 months to do my own research, find my own answers, and personally contact the local agencies I needed to in order to complete my goals and answers for compliance with the law. I would have been better off saving the money and just learning from my own mistakes. I made all my payments on time and just now am getting contacted a month after my contract is expired/completed asking if everything was completed regarding my case. I had Matt as my lawyer and he left in the middle of my contract and I was notified by a mass email generated weeks after I last heard from Matt. If you go through all the 1-star reviews for this company they seem to revolve around the lawyer I had.
I’m not saying everyone here is terrible to work with, and the firm does have great reviews which is why I chose to invest my limited business knowledge and money in them. I just got the short end of the stick in my instance and wasted a couple thousand dollars in my experience trying to hire business lawyers to help start my ventures legally and correct from the start. I 100% regret this decision.
