Although price is a factor, but so is good service at the agency level and great claims service at the carrier level. So far I've received great service from the agency and I know Erie is a great company when dealing with claims. Great customer service, the best rates, and when I call I know I will reach a live person! I have been with Erie since I was 19 years old, I am now 36. They are always honest and upfront, no hidden details. They go above and beyond as well. Wouldn't go anywhere else! I was looking for homeowners insurance quote on 9/24, I phoned 5 times, spoke with his secretary and he did not have the courtesy to respond once twice and again no response. I also emailed him twice and same , no response. When my car insurance came up in 12/24 I tried again twice and no response. A friend who refered him called his office and his secretary had the guts to send me a voicemail and say I must have dialed the wrong number... the same person I spoke with 6 times! I finally got Erie homeowners and car insurance from a courteous broker in Lansdale and saved a bundle. Why does he advertise in the village of neshaminy falls when he NEVER responds ! This staff at this agency is very professional and efficient - I received my auto, umbrella and home quotes via email within hours (after I emailed them my old policies). It was all done by email. Further, they cut my auto insurance premiums by HALF, on the exact same coverages! Erie does not do business in the state of Florida and the national insurance companies do! Everyone is the therefore paying for Florida’s rising claims! NOT IF YOU ARE WITH ERIE.
