About 3rd Street Gallery 3rd Street Gallery was founded in 1978 and has been an artist-run cooperative since (now over 30 years). Members of the cooperative are independent artists, working together on gallery exhibitions. They alternate between their studio and gallery duties, which keeps the gallery dynamic and current with evolving art trends. 3rd Street Gallery has a vibrant and powerful mission to cultivate new and meaningful relationships within the cooperative and the wider public. In this context, it participates in Fabric Row's Fourth Fridays and Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. 3rd Street Gallery also welcomes artists with open calls for its diverse community-based exhibitions annually. 3rd Street Gallery strives to foster respect and understanding of art among museum-goers and the broader community. They create various art forms using different media.
