The Joy School of Dance in Crafton is a dance and performing arts center for students aged 2-13 years. We have offered quality dance instruction for more than sixty years. In multi-medium classes, students learn dance style and technique, rhythm and timing, muscle control and body development, and art appreciation. Children learn the roles of choreographers, dancers, and enraptured audiences. They will understand how the discipline and self-discovery of the performing arts can help them overcome challenges in their lives. The time, effort, and perseverance required to learn the arts will increase their self-respect.
Miss Sharon has assembled a faculty of extraordinary teachers to help each student become a “star.” She has been dancing for decades, beginning at Joy School, continuing at Point Park University, and the International Ballet Theatre, attending numerous seminars and workshops, and instructing dance. Miss Sharon has a degree and two children. Our students average between toddlers and teenagers or even beyond. Most students graduate from an Advanced Company or Elite Company.
