Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh believes that performing arts are an important part of the education of children. The beauty and discipline that classical ballet brings to children, and our community as a whole, is what we hope will enhance their lives. Our ballet classes are taught by the best teachers in Pittsburgh for children aged 18 months and up. We also offer preschool, intermediate, and advanced levels. We offer ballet classes for all levels and ages, starting with Mommy and Me Ballet and continuing up to the High School Program. Classical ballet forms the basis of all dances. While some schools teach ballet as a supplement, the Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh is devoted to it. Our convenient location in Castle Shannon is on Library Road, Route 88, in the South Hills. This makes it easy to reach places like Baldwin/Whitehall and Bethel Park. Lebanon, Pleasant Hills/West Jefferson Hills, and Upper St. Clair. Our location is also accessible via Routes 19 and 51. We are located directly next to St. Anne's Trolley Station for public transport. Our students have the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker and Spring Gala, which includes timeless classics such as Coppelia and The Sleeping Beauty, along with works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, plus those of our faculty. All performances are optional and separate rehearsals from classes.

Teresa Stofesky, the owner of Rhythm & Motion LLC, taught hip-hop, jazz, and tap at Chatham College’s Laboratory School of Dance and for Chatham College Music and Arts Daycamp between 1986 and 2005. She has extensive experience in dance, but also a degree in teaching and years of classroom training. All About Dance began in 2005 when Chatham College closed the Laboratory School of Dance to concentrate on its college programs. All About Dance is the proud home to Rhythm & Motion LLC. All About Dance can be found at the Edgewood Towne Center Office Building located at 1789 South Braddock Ave. in Pittsburgh, PA. After decades of dance experience, I created a modern studio where professional training is offered in a caring environment. The classes are available from preschool to adult. Both recreational dancers and competitors have the opportunity to perform.

Victoria Hughey Brooks MBA, the owner of Victoria’s School of Dance and Rhythm has been teaching creative movement, ballet, tap, and jazz to all ages of children for years. She also served as a choreographer for Miss Black Teenage Pageant contestants. Victoria began her dance training as a young child at the Selma-Burke Art Center in East Liberty and African American Dance Studio. Victoria took part in Otis Salid's master class as a teenager. She also attended a class with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in New York City. Victoria also was the number one dancer for "Bye Bye Birdie." Victoria began her adult ballet training at the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh and Leaps and Bounds, both in College Park. Victoria studied pointe and ballet under Miss Audrey Trojanowski's direction at Graceful Steps Ballet, where she performed as a soloist for many productions. Victoria studied tap and jazz for 16 years at Wilkins School Community Center under Kimberly Curtin. Dena Holland, at Dance Space 304 has been teaching her ballet and pointe for seven years. Currently, Victoria studies ballet at WSCC under Bernadette.
