Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh acknowledges that performing arts are an integral aspect of children's education. The aesthetic appeal and regimentation of classical ballet will benefit both children and our community. We trust these values will enrich their lives, and the students in the preschool to high school programs will significantly benefit from our ballet classes. Our classes are teaching children in Pittsburgh from the age of 18 months upwards. Starting with the Mommy and Me Ballet class, we offer classes for children of all levels and ages. We also offer preschool, intermediate, and advanced classes. Classical ballet forms the backbone of dance. Although some schools regard ballet as an add-on, the Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh is dedicated to it. Our school is very convenient for students of all ages from Castle Shannon, at 3288 Library Road, Route 88, in the South Hills. The Baldwin/Whitehall and Bethel Park are just a few minutes away, as are Lebanon, Pleasant Hills/West Jefferson Hills, and Upper St. Clair. Routes 19 and 51 can also be used to make it easier. We are located next to the St. Anne's Trolley Station, which allows students to reach us by public transport. Our school offers students the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker and the Spring Gala. These performances will cover timeless masterpieces like Coppelia and The Sleeping Beauty, as well as works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. We will also incorporate works by our faculty into the performance, which will be separate from the class rehearsal.
