Melanie E. Costa, MD, FAAD

Dr. Melanie Costa is a board-certified dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. While she is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, she remains board-eligible for cosmetic and medical dermatology. She is experienced in Botox treatments for hyperhidrosis. If you don't see your insurance provider on our list, give us a call. Dr. Melanie Costa, MD, FAAD, was born and raised in California. She has lived in Pittsburgh, Switzerland, and England. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. She pursued her dermatology residency and continued her studies at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She left two years later and lived in Bethesda Maryland. She moved to Wailuku Hawaii two years and Kaiser Permanente employed her as a dermatologist. Dr. Costa returned to Pittsburgh in 2000 to be closer to her family. In 2001, she joined Dr. George J. Francis' dermatology clinic. Dr. Costa currently resides with her husband and two daughters in Squirrel Hill, where they have a pug, a rabbit, and two daughters. She admires sewing, skiing, and travel.
