Matt Diersen, Greg Dutton, and Midland Architecture's office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We craft stunning spaces by embracing simplicity. Our work is everywhere, from New York and Los Angeles to the rural Midwest. Wallpaper*, New York Magazine, and GQ have all featured Midland. Discovery's Building Off the Grid showcased us, as did HGTV's Restored By the Fords. Architect Magazine and the AIA bestowed accolades on our projects. Matt is a native of Pittsburgh. Post-high school, he returned to his hometown and enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, where he participated in the co-operative education program. He worked in Chicago and Boston during this time. Matt worked at several notable Pittsburgh architectural firms in the years that followed. His friend and former colleague Greg helped make Matt's dream of founding his own studio come true. This shared vision allowed for the founding of Midland. Matt has significant experience in adaptive reuse and multi-unit residential work. He has also worked on large and small renovations and additions for homes, offices, restaurants, and retail spaces.
