Jonathan Chambers Architects

Jonathan Chambers Architects has a total of over 16 years of experience. Chambers has designed and constructed a wide range of projects, including commercial and institutional buildings, historic restorations, and adaptive re-use projects. He designed numerous single-family homes for clients. Jonathan earned a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 1998 and a BS Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont in 1991. His coursework included a semester at Virginia Tech's Center for European Studies in Riva San Vitale (Switzerland). He also studied ceramics and silk-screening as part of his architectural studies. Jonathan worked for a Rhode Island-based architectural firm for a few years and then founded Jonathan Chambers Architects. Quality, not quantity, drives our design process. Each project deserves a well-designed, appropriately-sized design. Our design team is careful with space, focusing on the specifics and maximizing the use and comfort of each building while minimizing the resources needed to build it. We collaborate with clients during the design process so their ideas and needs inform our decisions. Each design is fully documented with detailed construction drawings once it is completed. We try to remain connected with each project during the entire construction process, so everything goes according to plan.
