Customer experience narrative: I had Jessica as a public defender in 2014. My original charge was felony false reporting. The only reason that I was using a public defender was that the case against me was almost nothing. The prosecution had no evidence, only a single "eyewitness" who I had never seen in my life, but claimed he knew me. I consulted with another attorney, and he said that any public defender should be able to get the case dismissed at the preliminary hearing before it got bound over to the grand jury. The court appointed her as my public defender at my arraignment. When I met with her after my arraignment, she was exceedingly rude and cut me off in the middle of speaking to her. I only met with her one time before my preliminary hearing for less than a half hour. She said that she had everything that she needed for my case. At the preliminary hearing, the only witness that the prosecution had was put on the stand. She asked him a few questions and didn't argue with anything that he said, just accepted it as truth and said she was finished. The witness said he saw me running at full speed from the scene of the crime, even though I was recovering from a serious car accident at the time. My back was broken in five places and my hips were broken in four places just a few months prior to the supposed incident. She never mentioned this in my preliminary hearing. Needless to say, my case was bound over to the grand jury. I paid Matt King $5,000 to take my case from there. My charges were dismissed within 3 months of hiring him due to lack of evidence. The district attorney had offered me a plea bargain before my preliminary hearing which would've dropped my charge from a class c felony to the lowest class of misdemeanor. I would've only had six months of unsupervised probation and a $10 fine. They knew they had no case against me, as did Mr. King, who was the attorney that I consulted with first. Her rudeness and lack of concern has me seriously worried about anyone else that she represents in the future who is facing serious charges. Experience narrative 4: I had an excellent experience with Jessica. She was helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process of my divorce. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Experience narrative 5: I seriously think that she is the greatest lawyer I have ever used. She was very kind and understanding of my situation. I was charged with a suspended license but she was able to have it dismissed. She told me that it would be a year before I could get a license again but I was able to get it back before 4 months! I was very grateful for that. My case was dismissed and I had paid very minimal fees for everything, the total I paid for the case was what I paid for the lawyer, I have no regrets of spending any amount - Customer ReviewExperience narrative 6: I seriously think that she is the greatest lawyer I have ever used. It is now 10-02-2023, and nothing has been accomplished. She does not do very well with communication, because you will get no response from calls or texts. I have files a formal complaint at this point because something needs to be done. I would not recommend her if you need anything accomplished in a timely fashion. I never even had to appear. Jessica handled everything for me as I live in another state. She was professional and kind, and I would highly recommend her for anyone needing a lawyer in the area. Her fees were reasonable and the outcome was exactly what I had hoped for. I paid his retainer but every time we met with him he kept telling us to save the payment for mediation. He didn't push for a mediation when my husband's child's mother refused to respond for about a day. After the mediation attempt, the time given to the child's mother passed, and my husband kept trying to contact him with no success. This made me feel like the case was not a priority to him. I would not recommend him as my husband has not been able to see his child as per the court order due to his lack of involvement in the matter. He is kind, compassionate, caring, and so helpful to everyone he helps. He helped me in a family law situation, and the case was hard on me but he knew how to handle it. I was so stressed but the way he took control helped me relax. Brad is a good guy to have on your side during any situation, you will never regret choosing him. -Customer Review
