In 1992, Shay started in the Beauty Industry. It was then that “Shay” began. Three years later, as part of Shay’s journey, she moved to Memphis. Shay was still taking care of her amazing guests in the Memphis area. Then, Shay met her mentor. She was given the opportunity to study not only how to color hair, but also the chemical process and why some colors work better or worse. Shay was also given the opportunity to travel up and down the East coast of the U.S. teaching haircutting and texturizing techniques. She also became a “platform artist” for a hair color manufacturer. Shay began traveling and teaching people how to do hair in her specialized techniques all over the place.
