L Ross Gallery features a vast array of contemporary fine artists. The gallery exhibits ceramics, kilnformed glasses, bronze sculptures and mixed media works. For fifty years plus, I have been painting, using brushes to capture beauty. I have chosen to paint beautiful things like flowers in a garden or a sunset. The New Mexico landscape is another favorite. A visit to the de Young Museum in San Francisco many years ago left me awed by their fine collection of Japanese traditional kimonos. Kimono is a Japanese word that means "something you wear". The extraordinary range of patterns from themes in nature has inspired me. In my series In a Japanese Garden, I have been painting flowers, gardens, and kimonos. I derive ideas from the extraordinary range of patterns. I can see how this has influenced me.
