N H Owens & Son Funeral Home was founded by Noble H. Owens Sr. in 1912. His dream and passion came to life when he founded N. H. Owens and Son Funeral Homes. His mission was to give back and serve the community. His philosophy was to serve with dignity, compassion, and excellence. In 1964, Noble H. Owens, Jr. and brother continued the practice. Noble Jr. married E. Laura Owens and had two children, Cheryl Owens and DeNobra Owens. Noble Jr. was the second-generation Funeral Director and funeral home manager. He went to rest in 1983. Reginald Young, an apprentice to Junior Owens, was appointed Operations Manager. From May 1974 to his death in 2013, Mr. Young was employed at N. H. Owens & Son. He worked there for 39 years. Cheryl Owens continued the legacy of the third generation of her family. After the death of her father, Cheryl became a volunteer at the funeral home and continued to provide services to the community.
