Client Comments Snapshot: 1) I don’t know where to start with this lady. IMO she should not be practicing law. I do know we all have bad days. Yet, idk if this lady is just rude or was having a bad day or prejudice. If you can get another attorney I would recommend doing so. This lady represented a friend of mine and she was very unprofessional and just ready to get it over. I do not know how she’s been able to get away with the way she treats her clients at all but she does. Make sure you take notes of everything she tells you and keep it for your records. The only response you will get from her is a negative response if you ask her questions. Also make sure you get all paperwork and information if you can from her as she does not like to show you all the details in your case. She may be a Good attorney if you pay for her but if she is court appointed I would not bank on it. This is the rudest court appointed lawyer I have ever seen in my life. She lacks empathy, accountability and just seems to not really care what is going on in your situation. I see from other reviews she Is very combative on here to all the reviewers whom have a complaint about her conduct. Not a very good representation and the state needs to stop allowing her to represent indigent clients. My ex-husband did not have sufficient funds to pay, and he recommended her. We did not have time to properly vet her or we would have gone with another lawyer who is more aligned with our values. We discussed the matter with the attorney as well as discussing potential further actions to support the health and safety of our daughter, which the ex husband would likely be opposed. She advised she only represented the daughter. Despite saying this and saying she didn’t want to get in the middle, she relayed our private text conversations to the ex husband. This was completely unethical and an invasion of private communications. Additionally, she refused to continue communicate with the mother, only the stepfather who was paying the bills. She began just texting the stepfather without the wife included and would group respond to only the stepfather. Very rude and unprofessional behavior. She volunteered her time during a recent trial for an appointed client of mine. I appreciated her expertise, experience, and advice at every step of the trial, but what really drove home what a wonderful attorney she is was the humanity she showed to my client during a very difficult emotional time. 6) Dawn is a colleague and a friend of mine.
