About this business

Founded on western democratic principles and free capitalism in 2010, Austin Bike Farm is the largest new and used bike provider in Austin. We stock mountain bikes, e-bikes, and BMX bikes. 1. Bring your bike to us for a checkup or repair by appointment. 2. No need to schedule a service. Come by anytime to drop off your bike. We promise to text or call you as soon as your bike is inspected. 3. A lot of minor service work can be done the same day or on-site. The average turnaround for major service work is 2 weeks (depending on Covid). Bring your bike to us. 4. Commuter, road, mountain, hybrid, and folding bikes are serviced. 5. You are welcome to drop off wheels or bikes for tubeless conversions. This service is usually done the same day. 6. Comprehensive tune-ups and full overhauls are provided. Wheel builds and repairs are also available, as are suspension services and repairs.

Reviews Summary

Customers wrote overwhelmingly positive reviews for Bike Farm. Many commended the store's excellent selection and service. The staff was supportive and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain biking to those unfamiliar. They were not pushy and were prepared to navigate all sets of issues. Even in unexpected scenarios like knee support scooter maintenance, the team was more than enough to help and would not ask for payment. The service is just as top-notch, with several having returned to the store for assistance with a broken tire or stocking up on other items. On-the-spot fixes are encouraged, and buyers are continually asked to test ride the bikes to ensure satisfaction. The prices are unbeatable for both parts and work, with the store refusing to overcharge despite the work being done. Some even go as far as to say that the customer service and price together surpass what is offered at the big bike shops. These reviewers believe that the Bike Farm is a strong player and that it is rare to see a store handle the combo of customer service and selection so well. Many of them helped the business by telling people to come the next time they needed parts or a new bike. The store was even accommodating in tracking down past purchases just to help a loyal customer out. It is a big positive from the people that say the store is so friendly and helpful in all the right places.

Nothing special here. Just a bunch of overprice bikes cooking in the sun. It’s hard to get any help & every other bike has a flat tire.
Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. This used to be a quality shop. Both sales staff and mechanic department have developed poor attitudes. If you’re not spending lots of money, they’re not eager to help you.
