Christian-Green Gallery

Located in the University of Texas at Austin, AGBS was founded in 2016 and is the sole organization devoted to promoting African arts on campus. AGBS is a learning and research institution and a key cultural resource in the Black Studies field. Its exhibition and programming spaces, Christian-Green Gallery and Idea Lab, and six project spaces serve on- and off-campus groups and converse beyond the art world. This is AGBS's core business, and it guides and drives our work. AGBS has a collection of almost 1,300 works. AGBS is open to all members of the community. It is committed to art and visual culture in many communities. AGBS tries to be the best in every aspect of its operations. AGBS follows the guidelines and requirements set by the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries.
