Dr. Watkins graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M College Station with a Sociology degree. The University of Texas, Austin awarded her a Master of Science in Social Work, with a focus in Community and Administration Leadership. She also attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she earned her Medical Doctorate (MD) degree and completed her Internship in Medicine and Dermatology Residency. Dr. Watkins received the Volunteer of the year Award from the Dermatology Department (2016-2017), for her work with Lubbock Impact’s Free Clinic. The University Medical Center, Lubbock also awarded her the Staff/Resident Award for May 2017 in recognition of her professionalism and exceptional care to patients. Dr. Watkins has also authored several articles published in dermatology journals and presented multiple podium presentations as well as poster sessions. She believes in incorporating the service values of social work such as service, dignity, and integrity into her clinical practice. Dr. Watkins wishes to empower patients to leave every office visit feeling informed and confident. She diagnoses and treats all dermatologic disorders for patients of all ages and offers a variety of cosmetic, medical and procedural treatments. Dr. Watkins loves Central Texas. Whether she is at a local music festival with her family, at the school, the pool, or the lake with her kids, or trying a new local brewery with her husband, she is a proud central Texas enthusiast.
