I count myself as privileged to be among the countless wonderful Austin photographers! Welcome to my website, and thank you for doing so! My name is Tara and I am a seventh-generation Texan. As an extrovert, I love being around people as I am outgoing. This emotion is mirrored in the photos I take. My photos are vibrant and playful and evoke strong feelings. I aim to maintain the consistency of my style while being adaptive to the style and needs of the person I am photographing. My family has a background in fine art, and I was once a member of the 500X Gallery, a Dallas artist co-op. (2006) I was also an Artist In Residency Award recipient from the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Rangefinder Magazine named me one of their Top 30 Rising Stars for 2014, and I have been awarded numerous other accolades for my work. Still a great magazine spread! When I am not photographing cool people, I am blogging or writing, brunching in my favourite yellow clothing, watching my talented husband brew beer, or travelling the world (71 countries).
