In general, personally and professionally, I would not recommend this attorney. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and guidance I received during my family law case. I did not feel adequately prepared for court, nor did I feel that my case was clearly explained or strategically guided throughout the process. At times, information and expectations changed from one conversation to the next, which caused confusion and uncertainty during an already stressful situation. Additionally, I am disappointed that not all evidence I believed to be relevant was presented in court, and when that outcome was unfavorable, I felt that the responsibility was placed on me rather than any constructive discussion about strategy or preparation. Finally, there was an interaction that I found unprofessional involving a request for a positive Google review in exchange for a reduction in legal fees. While the invoice was ultimately discounted after a discussion, the situation itself was uncomfortable and inappropriate. Every case is unique, but based on my personal experience, I strongly urge others to research and consult with multiple attorneys before making a decision. When I visited her, I needed help with a family law issue. The other parties required a business attorney, and they showed up with one. I feel that I was blindsided by the events of the hearing. When I visited with Paula, she explained the process for a family law case. She prepared me for the hearing, even though the hearing outcome was not favorable. She lost the case, which made me very frustrated or worried. I had all the evidence with me which I thought was very relevant, but not all of it was used by her for my case. Although she lost the case, she still wanted me to leave a good and positive review which I disagreed with. In the end, she did not charge me for the case because I left a positive review. She requested me to leave a good review in exchange for not charging me any money for the case. I declined and left because that I wasn´t pleased with that offer. The process was frustrating because I was left with a bad taste in my mouth due to the confusion and uncertainty of the legal expertise crumbled. Paula is a skilled attorney and tries to be professional, although sometimes she can be unethical in her dealings. In a nutshell, the experience was horrible.
